The team has been working hard to bring the next few years of Daggerheart to life! We just stepped off the stage after the Daggerheart Next panel here at Gen Con and are excited to share what’s coming out for Daggerheart. Watch the full panel below or read on for some of the highlights!
The Future of Daggerheart
The future of Daggerheart is here – Hope & Fear is on sale at Gen Con and will be releasing everywhere else starting August 25th. And that kicks off a jam-packed, three-year rollout of content that you have been asking us for: Adventures, expansions, new settings to explore, and even more content to keep your party on their toes. This means you can expect to see two major projects a year, keeping your stories fresh and full of surprises.
So what does that look like overall?
- 2 Tentpole Projects Per Year, which can include settings, campaigns, expansions, adventures, and more!
- Free Digital Adventure Pipeline, which will include adventures and sidequests that hop genres, tiers, and styles of gameplay, being launched for free on Daggerheart.com. We have a ton of those in the works right now and you’ll start seeing them with our next drop later in August!!
- Standalone Digital Releases for Sale, like the Romantasy Campaign Frame coming this fall.
- Additional Game Accessories coming alongside all this great playable content!

November: GM Screen, Fear Trackers, and Adversary Decks!
GMs, we’ve heard your requests for accessories to help your games! This November, we’ll be releasing 3 products: a GM Screen with gorgeous artwork and handy references behind the screen, Fear Trackers so you can keep your portentous pool of Fear visible to the whole table, AND an Adversary Deck to have gorgeous artwork and stat blocks at your fingertips. All 3 will be coming to Critical Role shops and Darrington Press Guild stores this November, and to other friendly local game stores shortly thereafter. Get your tables ready!
One-Shot Wonders: 100+ Adventures for Daggerheart Campaign Frames!
Just announced in our panel, we’re thrilled to be partnering with Roll & Play Press on a project in their award-winning One-Shot Wonders adventure series: One-Shot Wonders: Daggerheart will bring over 100 brand new adventures to Daggerheart built for EVERY campaign frame in both the Core Set and Hope & Fear!

Plushies Coming to Daggerheart
We are partnering with YouTooz on plushies for Daggerheart! Concepts they’re exploring include a plucky Ribbet adventurer, Beans the Bacat (part bat, part cat) from Hope & Fear, and even the beloved animal companion from Age of Umbra: Sallowlands Badger (the bat)!

Daggerheart Core and Hope & Fear Coming to VTTs
Take Daggerheart digital with our fantastic partners! Here are the VTT updates we shared in the livestream:
- NEW: Foundry VTT has joined us as a digital partner for Daggerheart! Foundry Virtual Tabletop and Metamorphic Digital Studios are working directly with the incredible system modules built by Foundryborne to bring Daggerheart to life for Foundry VTT. FINALLY! This project would not be possible without the passion of the developers from Foundryborne. Initial modules are expected in Q4 of this year!
- Demiplane has been there with us from the start, and their Daggerheart offerings are only getting better with new homebrew and group tools that recently launched on the platform! Hope & Fear will release on Demiplane on August 25th, and if you pre-order a physical copy of the expansion in Critical Role shops (US, CA, EU, UK, AU), you’ll receive a 20% off coupon to pre-order the Demiplane Nexus Digital version!
- Alchemy VTT is expanding their offering to Hope & Fear, bringing their gorgeous cinematic VTT treatment to the expansion in both a standard edition and an Alchemy Enhanced edition with immersive environments and audio!
