Today we held a livestream that reflected back on the year and shared a host of new announcements for tools, products, digital adventures, music, and more!
New Free Adventure: The Wish Thief
The Wish Thief is a Tier 1 adventure that is delightfully birthday themed! Amid the golden glow of a lavish royal birthday festival, unravel a high-society mystery, race through crowded city streets, and confront a deadly foe in a fast-paced adventure of intrigue, magic, and escalating danger. Our team has built out an adventure pipeline for Daggerheart. More free adventure drops are planned to release throughout this year and into 2027! And before 2026 is over you’ll have adventures that cover all 4 Tiers from all sorts of different tones and paces of play! Some will be longer like The Wish Thief, others will resemble snappier style side quests that you can add into any existing game. More content is coming your way!
Adversary Builder: Tweak and Design Your Own Adversaries!
We loved your reaction to the Daggerheart Card Creator we released a year ago today that let you adjust and tweak all manner of Daggerheart card templates to make your own content. Today we unveil the Adversary Builder, where you can create new challenges for your players, tweak or overhaul existing creatures to your needs, and SAVE THEM locally to our new Library tab which has also been added for the Card Creator! We can’t wait to see what you create.
System Reference Document Updates Coming!
We are so excited to finally share that Daggerheart: Hope & Fear content will be making its way into the Daggerheart SRD! That update will be coming alongside the Hope & Fear release so we look forward to sharing more details as we get closer to launch.
Ever since the launch of the Daggerheart Core Set, when we rebuilt our timelines and redesigned what the next best book in the Daggerheart line could be—the whole team agreed it was without a doubt the perfect game material to provide alongside other Daggerheart content for our community to have access to!
Age of Umbra: Sallowlands Mini-Series
This morning we announced a new 6-episode mini-series coming to Critical Role! Age of Umbra: Sallowlands is an all-new, six-part Daggerheart mini-series from Critical Role, set in a dark and foreboding fantasy world, debuting July 9 on Beacon and Critical Role’s Twitch and YouTube! Return to the blighted Halcyon Domain as five misfits seek solace within the mysteries of a new region: The Sallowlands. This swathe of cracked badlands holds secrets that could lead them to salvation – or into the jaws of ancient horror.
Game Master Matthew Mercer leads this standalone adventure, and is joined by a cast including Critical Role co-founder Laura Bailey along with Jennifer English, Abubakar Salim, Vico Ortiz, and Zachery Renauldo. They’ll encounter brutal adversaries and high-stakes in this dark and emotional actual play, which explores themes of desperation, survival, and love in the face of overwhelming odds.
